What I felt stir deep within my soul, and is reflected in the words and music of Stand Up America, began as it did for so many, as I watched in horror and disbelief, the tragic events that took place on September 11th 2001. I cried for the lives lost and for a world forever changed in an instance of savage cruelty. I asked, like so many probably have, what could make anyone hate someone or a group of people to the extent, that, they would commit murder? I have traveled the world and throughout the United States over the last 30 years and, in all my travels, I have learned the simplest of truths...we are no different, we are all the same. No where in the world have I found such diversity in culture, ethnicity, religion and race than I have seen right here in America. We are  truly a rainbow of colors. In my humble opinion, it is this blend of people that make America truly unique on earth. So, to hate someone is to hate yourself, to love someone is to love yourself. That is why, through my words and music, my heart and soul, and as a parent, I ask you to make the right choice. Let us all strive to build a collective path toward peace on Earth.
